About The Ranch

The Ranch is an upscale community in Carlsbad, California that is known for its spacious estates and oversized lots. Residents enjoy being close to schools, restaurants, stores, and services.

The Ranch subdivision was built between 1998 and 1999. Homes here feature 3,000 to 4,000 square feet of living space. Many residents have wine cellars, gourmet kitchens, and swimming pools. There is an additional Mellow Roos tax but the Home Owners Association dues are low. You’ll find many million dollar plus homes in this neighborhood.

This community is served by the San Dieguito Union High School District and the Encinitas Union School District. Students attend highly rated facilities like La Costa Canyon High School and Olivenhain Pioneer Elementary which are in walking distance as well as Diegueno Middle School. There are several private schools like Halstrom Academy, Sanderling Waldorf School, and St. Patrick’s Catholic School. There are also higher learning facilities nearby such as MiraCosta College and Palomar College.

There are many shopping centers like Carlsbad Premium Outlets, Village Faire, and The Shoppes at. There are many golf venues such as the Rancho Carlsbad Golf Club, The Crossings at Carlsbad, and the Carlsbad Golf Center.

Carlsbad is known as “The Village by the Sea” and is popular with tourists. This upscale resort community is located along a seven mile stretch of coastline. It is 35 miles from San Diego’s downtown district and 87 miles from Los Angeles. Attractions include Sea Life Aquarium, South Carlsbad State Beach campgrounds, and the Museum of Making Noise.
